About Doorstep Pakistan
We are a Karachi-based event management company with one kind of client: families living abroad who need their event in Karachi handled properly, without being there.
Why we exist
Overseas Pakistanis have long relied on relatives to arrange weddings and family events back home. That arrangement places a heavy load on people who already have full lives, and it leaves the family abroad with little visibility of how money is spent or how plans are changing.
Doorstep Pakistan was set up to offer a different arrangement: a contracted, accountable operations team in Karachi that reports to the family abroad, documents every decision and handles every payment in the open.
How we work
We think of ourselves as an operational partner, not a decorator. Our work is planning, contracting, coordinating, checking and reporting. We bring in Karachi’s decorators, caterers, photographers and venues, and we hold them to what was agreed.
- One dedicated Client Executive for every client.
- Written agreements with every vendor.
- Payments only within the budget you approve, each with a receipt.
- A private dashboard showing progress, photos and payments.
- Backup plans for Karachi’s practical risks prepared in advance.
Our team
Project management is in our DNA. Our team’s background is managing projects for organisations, and between us we bring decades of project management experience. Doorstep Pakistan draws on the same disciplines that guide our parent company, Doorstep International, a fully registered, tax-compliant Karachi-based company established in 1996.
For every event we engage qualified and experienced event managers, so our clients have the ultimate peace of mind when planning an event in Karachi from abroad. We keep our prices fair, especially for overseas Pakistanis, who are often overcharged simply because they live abroad. All payments are received into our official company accounts, so every amount is secure and traceable.
We manage each event as a project, with three things built in from the first day:
- Risk management. Risks such as power cuts, traffic, weather and vendor failure are identified early, with a backup plan agreed for each one.
- Professional expertise. Experienced event managers plan, contract and supervise every vendor against a written scope, schedule and budget.
- Teamwork. Your Client Executive leads a coordinated team, so no single person is a point of failure and every task has a clear owner.
Who we work with
Most of our clients live in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the other Gulf states. They are organising weddings, nikahs, walimas, engagements, aqiqas and family gatherings for parents, siblings and children in Karachi.
Where we are
Our team is based in Karachi and works across the city. We are available Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm Pakistan time, with extended availability in the week of your event.
